You grow up the day you have your first real laugh at yourself.
- Ethel Barrymore
As a practicing lawyer of over twenty years, my firm is here to serve clients with all of their family law needs. My practice is limited to family law and I have represented clients at all levels of Court throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
We pride ourselves in explaining the law to our clients, since a fuller understanding of the law and process allows each client the opportunity to fully assess how they wish to proceed. Many family law issues actually never make it to Court, and in these cases, we will work to negotiate solutions on behalf of our clients. Our aim is to work together with our client towards a resolution or to settle on terms that satisfy both parties involved. If the case goes to court, we focus on how best to tell our client’s story to the Court. It is important to assess and identify the most important and relevant facts, and relay that information to the Court in a precise and efficient manner.
As much as I would like to promise success to every client, regardless of how hard we work, the reality is that not every client or file will be successful. What I do promise is to be frank and honest, to fully review and advise all clients of the strengths and weaknesses of their case, to follow their instructions, and to advocate for them. What each client is entitled to is respect, integrity and honesty, and we strive to provide this for each client who retains us.
Our Promises To Our Clients
We will honestly assess each case and advise each client of its strengths and weaknesses;
We will provide each client with our expertise, regardless of the client or the nature of our retainer;
We will treat all clients, and their concerns and problems, with respect;
We will listen to each client and listen to what he or she is seeking and what their full story is. We will listen to each question and try to provide full answers;
In the 21st Century, information on almost any topic is available at the click of a button. As such, we need to ensure our information is timely, relevant, and accurate. No matter where you reside in Canada, Family Law is governed by both Federal & Provincial laws, and therefore it is important to always confirm that the information you obtain is the correct information for where you reside. Often, this requires significant expertise.
With that in mind, it’s not only important to know and understand Family Law, but to discuss how the laws apply to your situation with an experienced Family Law lawyer. With so much at stake, it’s vital to obtain expert advice to better inform your choices. This is something that we pride ourselves in providing.
